They do run out quick so I would try earlier in the day. I just ordered my paint sample - I asked for a pretty lilac color, I should get it in 3-5 days. Happy Birthday Andrea

Yesterday was my Sister Andrea's Birthday. Today we got together for lunch. The past week I was trying to think of something cute to make her for her birthday. I then saw a cute idea on another blog. Someday Crafts showed off these cute button eggs and felt easter bunnies they saw on a blog. When I saw them I just knew that was what I wanted to make for Andrea. I am also planning on making a button egg for me and I made several cute felt bunnies. They were so fun to make!

Here is my framed button egg:

Create Wood Sign

I wanted to join in on the fun at Wood You Like To Craft. This month several ladies made some cute wood signs and I decided to make my own. This is how I made my "Create" wood sign.

First I bought a board at Roberts Craft store - because my scroll saw is broke :( I painted the board Ivory. Gave it two coats.

Next I traced a piece of beautiful scrapbook paper to cover the top. I cut it slightly smaller so it would leave a painted edge, and I Mod Podged it on.

I then added a pink piece of paper to the middle - Oh and I inked the edges of all the paper in brown ink.

I cut out the word "Create" in brown vinyl and put it on the sign. Here is the sign hanging on my craft room door.

This was so easy and inexpensive to make! Thanks for looking!

We Have A Winner!

Yes I was supposed to pick a winner yesterday, but I didn't. Have you ever had one of those days that weren't a bad day - not a great day - just a running around crazy and when you get a moment to sit down you can't think of what you were supposed to accomplish so you kinda just sit there staring at the wall (or TV :) ) and just get nothing accomplished - other than the running around crazy stuff? That the kind of day I had yesterday.
So this morning my eyes popped open at 6:30 am (yes the day I can sleep in I don't) and I thought "Shoot I forgot to pick a winner." So here I am picking the winner of my home definition vinyl :)
www.random.org picked our winner today
And the winner is......
Kayla!
She loves Easter Egg Hunts by the way (so do I)
I will be emailing you right now.
If for some reason I don't hear from Kayla by Monday I will choose another winner. Thanks everyone who joined in.
I just passed 100 followers so my next giveaway will be something wood related - because that is always a bit more fun, right!

Spring - Photo Reshoot

When looking at my Spring blocks I felt something was missing but couldn't figure it out. And then it hit me, I made some small vinyl flowers to put on my blocks and forgot to add them. So I have now added my cute spring flowers and am happy with how cute these turned out. I think the little flowers really helped out with how simple they were looking.

These have been made available in my shop - finished or as a kit! I think the kit would be so fun because there are so many things you could do with the blocks - like putting cute easter paper on them instead of painting!
