Glow in the Dark Halloween Trick or Treat Bag

Glow in the Dark Halloween Trick or Treat Bag

A couple of days ago I shared my video of what I received from iLoveToCreate.  I received some fun Tulip Glow in the Dark paint to use in a craft.

So today I am so excited to share with you my Trick or Treat bag I made for my son using the Tulip Glow in the Dark fabric paint iLoveToCreate sent me .This bag may look kind of simple but when it is glowing in the dark it looks so cool!

This was really easy and quick to do. So lets get started!

Supplies Needed:

First cut out some images/words in vinyl and place them on your bag.  I did a skull because my son wanted something spooky and the word "Beware".

Using your glow in the dark paint trace around the vinyl images.

I like how the Tulip paint has a fine tip.  It helps with tracing around the image as well as spreading the glue around.

Apply a line of paint

Then using the tip of the paint spread the line of paint around to fill in the space.

Do this with the entire project and the words.  When I do this again I am going to use the negative piece of the vinyl words instead of the actual letters because that would be easier to just fill in then line.

Let dry for 4 hours and then carefully peel off the vinyl.  I used some super pointy scissors to pick up the corner of they vinyl, which was really helpful.

My son is so excited to Trick or Treat bag and loves that it glows in the dark.  These really glow in the dark great but my camera was not able to capture how awesome it glows.

I had a lot of fun creating my Trick or Treat bag for iLoveToCreate, you should check them out to see their other great products and ideas:

Later this week I am sharing a project I have made for iLove To Create.  To give myself some video practice I thought I would be fun to make a video of when I received my box from them.  I wasn't sure what was in the box so it was a bit of a surprise.

Grilled Pork Chops with Gourmet Garden Giveaway

I have both a yummy recipe and fabulous giveaway to share with you today.  These delicious grilled pork chops were made with Herbs and & Spices from Gourmet Garden.  So be sure to check out the giveaway that is right after the recipe!

Ingredients:
Pork Chops - I used bone in but you could also use boneless
1 Tbsp. Gourmet Garden Chunky Garlic
3/4 Tbsp. Gourmet Garden Italian Herb
1/2 cup olive oil
1/2 cup Chicken broth
Salt & Pepper

Instructions:

Grab your Gourmet Garden Chunky Garlic and Italian Herbs

Add the Garlic and Italian Herbs to the olive oil

Mix well

Brush the mixture onto both sides of each pork chop.  Also add salt and pepper to each side of the pork chops. Put in the fridge for several hours or over night to marinate.  Pull the pork chops out of the fridge about an hour before cooking so they can come to room temperature.

Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.  Heat up your grill and grill the pork chops on each side for 3 minutes.  Transfer the pork chops to a baking dish.  Put 1/2 chicken broth into the baking dish.  This helps keep the pork chops moist.

Bake the pork chops in the oven for 10-15 minutes (or until juices run clear) and serve.

Enjoy your dinner - these are so good!

These pork chops were so yummy, flavorful and easy to cook.  I just love how easy my marinade came together using the Gourmet Garden Garlic and Italian Herb.

Gourmet Garden was very generous and sent me a cooler full of their wonderful Herbs and Spices.

I have been able to try out these fabulous flavors:

  • Garlic
  • Chunky Garlic
  • Parsley
  • Italian Herbs
  • Basil
  • Dill
  • Lemon Grass
  • Ginger
  • Chili Pepper
  • Oregano
  • Cilantro

I have tried several recipes from the recipes on their site and have really enjoyed them.  Here are some great things about their Herbs & Spices:

  • Made with organic herbs (except Ginger)
  • Gourmet Garden Herbs and Spices are harvest, simply washed, chopped, blended and packed fresh into squeezable tubes.
  • Gluten free (except Italian Herbs)
  • Lasts 3 months in the fridge (I also heard they last 6 months in the freezer and you can use directly from frozen - like the herbs still squeeze just fine out of the tube from the freezer)
  • Contains equivalent of 3 bunches of herbs
  • 1 tsp Gourmet Garden = 1 tsp fresh herbs

The Giveaway!

Gourmet Garden is going to send one of my fabulous readers a cooler of Herbs and Spices just like mine!  Awesome right!

To enter leave a comment letting me know which of their Herbs and spices you would like to try and then enter via the Rafflecopter widget below.  If you have a hard time seeing the rafflecopter entry form I have heard it sometimes doesn't work well with Internet Explorer so you may need to try a different browser.
