Spring Wood Blocks and Flower Pinwheels made with New Dear Lizzy Fifth and Frolic paper!

I am so excited today to share with you my cute new Spring wood block set!

Spring wood blocks using paper from Dear Lizzie Fifth and Frolic

Several weeks ago I received some craft product from the new American Craft Line called Dear Lizzy Fifth & Frolic.  Here is a picture of the goodies I got to play with:

Dear Lizze Fifth and Frolic

I kept going back and forth on what to make and decided on a cute Spring wood block set.  For this set I used these lovely papers:
Dear Lizzie Fifth and Frolic papers

The papers I used were Dear Lizzy Cozy Court, 7th&Sunshine, Simplicity Circle, 24th&Sparrow (I used both sides of this one) and Foxy Fairview (I used both sides of this one as well).  I think the Foxy Fairview paper was my favorite of this set - loved the vibrant colors!

I love how well the colors go together!

On my top block that says Grow and Bloom I used this pretty feather embellishment from the Leaf & Feather Details package

On the very last block in my word I placed a flower with a pretty bird brad from the Dear Lizzy Brads collection

Isn't this block set so cute!

I wanted to play with some of the other papers so I made several pinwheels using my pinwheel tutorial.  These are so simple to make and turn out really cute.  In the middle of each pinwheel I used some Fifth & Frolic brads.

To hold my pinwheel flowers I thought it would be really cute to dress up a mason jar.  I used the adorable stitched ruffle paper for this.  It was so simple to do - first get your piece of ruffle paper and lift up where you want to cut

Cut that section and you will have this

Now wrap around your mason jar and adhere at the back with some tape.  Then for the fun of it I added a piece of jute and tied a knot at the front.

Here it is all together on my shelf

Now that you got to see the cute projects I made let me tell you a little bit about Fifth & Frolic.  This crafting line will debut in JoAnn's stores on March 17th - that's like next week!!  The line was designed by Liz Kartchner and has some pretty pinks, yellows, blues and greens and you can see a complete product line up by visiting the Fifth & Frolic line on American Crafts.  American Crafts always has such fun product!  You can find American Crafts on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram. You can find JoAnn's on Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look at my latest project!

Disclosure:  I received fun product to create with but all opinions are my own.

  4. L O V E the Spring block set, Summer! And how convenient; there is a JoAnn's right near me. I HAVE to make this so I have like, 4 questions if you don't mind:
    1) Did you get the wooden blocks at JoAnn's too?
    2) What are the speckles from > glitter in Modge Podge or something?
    3) What dd you use for the darker edge of the paper on the block?
    4) Is that vinyl lettering? What font?

    Sorry, I'm inspired! LOL
Awesome stuff! Glad I popped in. : )

    1. Hey Laura! So glad you love my spring block set! Yes this line will be in JoAnn's stores on the 17th - I am going to go run and get me some more! Here is the answers to your questions:
      1. I cut the wood blocks myself - if you want to know the exact measurements just let me know.
      2. The spleckes are from super fine glitter added to the Mod Podge.
      3. For the dark edeges I inked the edges with a black ink pad.
      4. I cut the vinyl lettering myself using two different fonts - I need to go look em up - be right back with that info.
You will have to share a picture of yours with me when you are done!
